Paul O’Brien, IFA Environment & Rural Affairs Chairman has welcomed the decision by Minister for Agriculture, Michael Creed TD, to grant a short extension to the closing date for nitrates derogation applications.
He said, “This is an extremely difficult time for everyone and farmers are currently doing a great job in keeping food on supermarket shelves. All measures available in Government departments and state agencies must be used to support, and work with farmers during this challenging time. I welcome this short extension to the closing date for nitrates derogation applications.”
