Commenting on the decision to move tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting from Blackrock Castle to the City Hall in Cork, IFA President Joe Healy said that IFA would be going ahead with its protest at the new location.
“The Government can run, but they can’t hide. We’ll be at City Hall tomorrow with the main rally timed for 10.30am,” he said.
“Beef farmers need a Brexit support package and we will be sending a strong message to the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and his Cabinet tomorrow. They can have the meeting wherever they like. We’ll be there,” he said.
