IFA Have Straight Talking, But Constructive, Engagement with Dunnes Stores

Following a meeting with Dunnes Stores this afternoon, IFA President Tim Cullinan said there had been a straight talking, but constructive engagement, on the issues facing farmers.

The IFA delegation also included the Chairman of the National Poultry Committee Nigel Sweetnam and the Chairman of the National Pigs Committee Roy Gallie.

“We made it clear to the senior management in Dunnes that there is a real urgency around addressing rising costs at farm level,” he said.

IFA put a number proposals to Dunnes Stores and they have committed to come back shortly with a detailed response.
