Thursday 16th June 1pm
Conor & Mark McGrane’s Farm
Walterstown, Co. Meath, Eircode C15 F292
FMP are very grateful to the McGrane family for facilitating this on-farm FMP event on 16th June 2022. We are also very grateful for Teagasc staff for attending on the day and helping facilitate proceedings.
Arrival from 12:30pm on Thursday 16th June at McGrane’s farmyard, Eircode C15 F292, where tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available, the event will start at 1pm. McGrane’s operate a large-scale liquid milk herd and it will be a good opportunity to hear from both McGrane’s and Teagasc on how FMP members should plan to manage the new normal, of extremely high and rising input costs.
James Dunne, Teagasc Liquid milk specialist and Fergal McGuire, Teagasc county Meath dairy advisor will facilitate a discussion on the challenges that liquid milk dairy farmers will face in the coming months. The normally higher costs associated with feeding autumn calving cows will be much greater in the new environment of massively increased input costs.
All who attend are very welcome back to the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan Eircode C15 C9YA for a complementary meal and refreshments.
FMP would ask that you confirm attendance in advance of traveling with the FMP secretary, Robert Malone by email at [email protected] or by mobile on 087-9803742.
