IFA to Hold Organic Dairy Event
IFA is hosting a series of farm walks to provide information to farmers on options available in organic farming.
He has been farming organically since 2001 and recently entered organic dairying. He will give an outline of the opportunities and challenges he has experienced so far.
Anyone who is considering entering organic production should attend.
Information will be available from IFA, Teagasc advisors, DAFM officials, organic certification bodies, Bord Bia and organic farmers. This year organic processors have also been invited to provide information at the event.
IFA Organic Project Team Chairman John Curran said “These events will be an excellent opportunity for anyone who is considering entering organic production”.
Details of future events will be announced shortly. The events are open to all farmers who are considering organic farming as an option.
