IFA Welcomes Teagasc’s New Farm Safety & Assurance Module Supporting Female Farmers

IFA Farm Family & Social Affairs Chair, Alice Doyle has welcomed the launch of the new Farm Safety & Assurance module which will be delivered to female farmers.

“The launch of this module recognises the important contribution of female farmers and their role in preventing farm accidents and hazards,” Alice Doyle said.

“IFA fully support initiatives which focus on female participation and help to support and promote gender equality in farming,” she added.

The module will cover safe tractor operations, food assurance and traceability along with animal health and welfare. Particular emphasis will be placed on the safe execution of common farm safety and farm assurance operations including tractor, tractor/loader, tractor/trailer combinations and attaching a mounted PTO driven machine.
