Disadvantaged Area Payments Must Be Fully Paid out Next Week
IFA President John Bryan said with Disadvantaged Area Payments due next week, it was vital that the 100,000 farmers are paid their full rate of payment. “There must not be a repeat of last year’s debacle, where part of the payment was delayed due to ongoing issues over mapping.”
John Bryan said the payments worth €220m are a crucial income support in Disadvantaged Areas, and it was important that all payments are made within the next week or so.
The IFA President said that the Single Farm Payment advance of 50%, which is due in five weeks time on October 17th, must also be paid to all farmers on time. “Payments cannot be held up where inspections have not been completed.”
