Due to the challenging weather conditions prevailing over the previous few years, Thomas Lane, Clare IFA Chair, has invited Professor John Sweeney Climatologist NUI Maynooth to give a presentation on climate change in relation to the future of farming.

Thomas Lane Clare Chairman is encouraging members to attend on Monday 9th March in the West County Hotel, 8.30pm, to give an opportunity to those affected by floods to have their say. Clare IFA is calling on the authorities for urgent action and to identify a co – ordinated plan that avoids the severe disruption that farmers and landowners have had to endure.

Additional speakers Paul O’Brien, National IFA Environment Committee Chair, will highlight the positive agri-environment actions taken by farmers with the challenges in the sector to be covered by Trevor Donnellan Teagasc.
