IFA Announce Euronit as Official Building Partner for Ploughing Championships

The Irish Farmers’ Association is delighted to once again partner with Euronit for this year’s National Ploughing Championships which will take place in Ratheniska, Co. Laois in September.

Euronit, formerly known as Tegral, has been at the heart of agriculture and farms across Ireland since 1936. Based in Athy, Co. Kildare, they have been the choice of farmers for generations and continue to produce corrugated metal and fibre cement sheeting in addition to steel purlins.

As a company, Tegral became part of the global building materials group Etex in 1988; a move which ultimately saw them rebrand to four separate brands in 2020 – each dedicated to key building sectors of Ireland. In the case of its agricultural products, that brand is now Euronit.

At the launch, James Kelly, IFA Director of Organisation said “We are proud to partner with Euronit. It is a valued partnership for over 17 years. We are delighted to team up once again to develop an impressive stand featuring Euronit products where we can welcome our members. This is an important partnership for IFA as Euronit continues to deliver not only high-quality products but a tradition of trust and reliability among farmers”.

With a 90-year heritage in Ireland, Euronit has gained a wealth of experience and understanding of what farmers need to run sustainable, productive and profitable farms. Being the sole manufacturer of both metal and fibre cement sheeting in Ireland, as well as manufacturing their own coated steel purlins, Euronit is in the unique position of being able to supply farmers with whatever roofing solutions they require to ensure optimal performance.

Commenting on the partnership, Etex Ireland Country Manager, John Bradley, said, “We’re extremely pleased to renew our partnership as the official building partner of the IFA for a seventeenth year. Our collaboration for the National Ploughing Championships is a week in the calendar that we look forward to each year. It represents an important opportunity for us to meet new and old customers; showcase our products; and crucially, deliver an impressive stand for the IFA and its members.”
